Piano, Clarinet, and Saxophone Lessons Coming Soon to the St. Louis Metro – Personalized for Kids and Adults

Lessons

Introduction

At the Imperfect Music Studio, lessons are a journey we take together. Along the way, students build strong foundations in music literacy and technique, work toward meaningful goals, and learn to approach music with both grit and grace.

Instruments & Ages

Instruction is available on:

Lessons

Every student takes 45-minute lessons, giving us time to build strong foundations and explore music in creative ways. Depending on the student's age and goals, lessons may weave together method books, improvisation, listening, conducting, or Challenge Board activities, so skills and creativity grow side by side.

Journey Check-Ins

From the very beginning, Journey Check-Ins are built into the lesson process. These intentional conversations bring student, parent, and teacher together to reflect, share observations, and set next steps. They happen during onboarding and at regular intervals afterward, so families stay connected and supported.

Enrichment Workshops

Every other month, the studio gathers for an Enrichment Workshop – a group session that takes the place of individual make-ups. These workshops keep scheduling simple for families while giving students something extra: chances to practice performance skills, collaborate in ensembles, improvise, and explore music beyond the weekly lesson. Workshops are included in your monthly rate and help students stay engaged, encouraged, and connected in their musical journey.

Rates

The monthly rate is $194.50, keeping billing simple and predictable for families. This includes weekly 45-minute lessons, performance opportunities, and access to creative studio resources such as Challenge Boards and music games.

Handbook

The Studio Handbook is your family’s guide to how lessons work at the Imperfect Music Studio. Inside you’ll find practical details like lesson logistics, practice tips, equipment recommendations, our workshop model, and performance expectations. Families can reference it anytime – whether you’re exploring lessons or already enrolled.
